Career is a downloadable desktop workspace delivered as a folder. Inside is a private website you open in your browser and the organized source files your supported AI tool reads and updates. It is not a public online account and is not designed for phone use.
Can I use Career on my phone?
Career is designed to be set up and used on a computer. After purchase, use the account tied to your checkout email to access the download from your computer.
What computer and AI tools do I need?
Use a macOS or Windows computer and an AI desktop tool that can read and update the Career folder. You do not need a Terminal, package manager, local server, or database. A standard browser-only AI chat may not have the folder access Career needs.

Career can prepare tailored resume and cover-letter drafts, opportunity-fit reviews, and interview preparation from the information in your record. Resumes and cover letters can be viewed, printed, and downloaded as editable RTF files. Review every draft before using it.
Where is my information stored?
Your Career source files, local website, saved job descriptions, and generated materials live in the Career folder on your computer or in a storage location you control.
Can my AI provider see the information I share with it?
It may. Anything you share with an AI tool may be processed by that provider and is governed by its terms, privacy policy, and account settings. Career does not automatically send your folder to 8bit Company.
How do I back up or move Career to another computer?
Keep a copy of the complete Career folder in a storage location you control. You can also ask Career to create a recoverable backup before broad changes. To move it, copy the entire folder so its source files, website, and generated materials stay together.
Can I download Career again after purchasing?
Yes. Log in to the 8bit account tied to your purchase and open Product Access to download Career again. Your personal updates live only in your own working copy and backups, not in a fresh download.
